Kuantan, the state capital, is situated on the banks of the Kuantan river mouth on the east coast of Malaysia's main island. Drive along the coastline dotted with fishing villages and experience the lifestyle of the people. Stop at Beserah fishing village to see villagers process their catch as salted fish, which is today a delicacy. At the mini zoo at Taman Teruntum see some of the native animals.
View some exclusive residence of the Royal family, the official residence of the Chief Minister and the State guesthouse. Visit a colorful Hindu temple and photograph the new State Mosque enroute. Enjoy a stop at a cottage industry, and watch the intricate art of Batik making.
